WDO Challenge 2014

The 2014 WDO Challenge prizes were awarded at the Winter Gathering on January 24, 2015
During the 2014 riding year a challenge was spelled out by the WDO board to give an award to the rider with the most points accumulated.  Points were able to be earned through meeting attendance, dinner rides and photos at special locations.  A total of 38 people participated in this years challenge.  The person with the most points was Ross Bennett followed by Christine Ledezma, Rhett Bainter, Kami Broeren and Keith Stengel rounding out the top five.  Each earned raffle tickets good towards the Challenge prizes.  A drawing was held with the following people winning prizes:

 Challenge Guidelines for 2014

The Treasurer will keep a running total of each member’s points.  Points can be earned by attending WDO meetings, dinner rides and a list of special location rides.  Everyone who participates will earn points toward raffle tickets for prizes awarded at the annual WDO Winter Gathering.

-         Each WDO member will get one raffle entry for each point earned

-         Raffle tickets will be awarded at the annual WDO Winter Gathering

-         Must be a dues-paying member

-         Points MUST include at least 2 meetings

(Name must be listed on attendance roster for meeting point credit)

-         A maximum of 25 raffle tickets can be earned

Three ways to earn points              

WDO Meeting attendance – 11 points possible     

Dinner rides after meetings – 6 points possible     

Special location points – 25 points possible          


Dinner rides after meetings- The ride will leave following the monthly meeting from MotoUnion.  A point is earned for the ride after the meeting.  It is not necessary to participate in dinner, although it is kind of the point.

Special location points can be earned by taking a picture of yourself with your motorcycle in front of the location.  It must be clear that you are at the location by using an obvious landmark or sign at the sight.  File photos from previous visits will not be allowed, the intent is to visit the site on your Ducati in 2014, however non-Ducati motorcycle photos will be allowed.  Locations were chosen for being interesting Wisconsin landmarks, places with tours or relatively near good roads.  Entries must be submitted by December 1, 2014.
